We took delivery of our i5 today and are really happy with it. However in looking something up in the regular printed manual, it said to refer to the navigation/infotainment manual. We couldn’t find that manual anywhere in the car or trunk. I know with many cars there are 2 separate manuals, one for the car and its operations and the other for nav & radio operations.

So did other i5 owners receive a printed manual or is there only an online version?

No i5 ownership experience but I've bought/owned 4 BMWs since May 2020 and not one came with a navigation/infotainment manual.

For some cars at least I downloaded a digital copy of the Nav/infotainment manual (and other digital documents like the warranty booklet) from BMW's web site. All I remember needing was my car's VIN.

There might be a way to request a printed copy of what you want but I have no info on that.

why don´t you usew the manual app ? just search bmw owners manual in appstore

Dealerships have been asking BMW to take that verbiage out of their manuals for years. What it should say is that the information is available within your vehicle's stored information. The only printed such manual available through the dealer parts department is out of date and not specific to your vehicle.

Simply put: The navigation/infotainment manual in printed form does not exist and is not included with any new BMW.

That's what I do. It's just as useless as a printed manual!

I honestly use the BMW Guide app on my tablet or phone - it works really well and the pdfs are somewhat hyperlinked to allow you to navigate from the index or contents to specific pages.
