G60 Suspension Experts Needed

What do I have? Ordered 2VV adaptive suspension pro- not sure what was included.

1. Active suspension-probably have
2. Active rear steering- maybe?
3. Active anti-roll stability- maybe not

Any thoughts appreciated.

I think it depends on the model.

If it's the 550e, I believe it includes Rear Wheel Steering and Adaptive Professional, but I don't think it includes ARS...it may include ARS if you have an M60. That's how it is in Canada I believe. But the option costs more on the M60.

That’s an interesting puzzle. My first suggestion would be to check the build sheet the dealer gave you when you ordered, but they don’t always list everything that’s included. VIN decoder doesn’t necessarily work either, but you could try.

The more reliable way would be underbody pictures. The rear axle ones you posted here are inconclusive.

- Rear wheel steering: I don’t see any sign there of anything that can pivot under motor control, so I think there is no rear wheel steering here. It looks pretty fixed from what I can see.

- active roll bars: inconclusive. All I can see is the end of the roll bar with attachment, and it going into a bushing. There is no torquing motor visible, though it could be out of sight either in the middle, or perhaps on the other side. If you got under the car and traced the bar from one side to the other, and there was no electro-mechanical gizmo anywhere between left and right wheel attachment points, you would know there is no ARS.

Garage List
You can tell rear wheel steer very easily - start the car and angle the drivers mirror down and turn the wheel lock to lock - it’s pretty visible!

Pretty sure that this is just the rear of the car and you’d need to see the front to see if you have the anti-roll equipment - but would have no idea what it looks like.

So I went by the dealer today. Spoke with the parts manager and he pulled up my car by VIN.

There is a rear steering actuator on top of the rear axle. So looks like I have rear steering and the shocks are electronically connected and controlled.

So I think I have IAS and adaptive suspension, but I don't think anti roll from what we can tell.

Thanks everyone.

Great that you got some info.

Here’s a picture of what the rear active roll-bar would look like with the G60 actuator, with the thick motorized tube across the middle.. For just static roll-bars, it would be just the simple thin metal bar running across the width of the car.

I need to crawl back under and see what is there.

Is there a way I can call parts list by vin on the internet?

Where are you finding this information? RealOEM had it but stopped updating as of 2020 models.
