i5 M60 sport seats

( I am editting this initial post to update what is known for sure about the two options. )

The sport seats are actually the “base” seating option through most of the G60 models.
Comfort seats are usually an additional cost option, except for i5 M60 where they are standard

Sport seats (on i5 M60 only these colors: M black Veganza/Alcantara, Burgandy Veganza, Silverstone Merino)
On other models or trims, sport seats are standard/no cost in expanded color and material choices

- Driver power thigh bolster extension and side bolster width adjustable through iDrive
- NO passenger side bolster adjustment.
- NO passenger thigh bolster adjustment ??? (Needs verification)

- Driver has power lumbar adjustment. Does passenger side ??? (Need clarification)
- Manual headrest up/down and front/back headrest adjustment only, both driver and passenger
- Driver side seat memory.
- Passenger side does NOT have seat memory
- slightly tougher seat bottom cushion foam ??? (need feedback about this)
- have a little bit more bolster up higher on the seat

Comfort seats (standard on i5 inall other colors than the 3 that trigger sport seats above).
Other models/trims have “luxury seat package” for $1360 which selects comfort seats

- Power thigh bolster extension and side bolster width adjustable through iDrive, both driver and passenger sides
- Power lumbar support both sides
- Seat memory both sides
- Headrest has power up/down adjustment, manual front/back adjustment (both sides)
- less side bolster up high near sholders
- softer seat bottom cushion ??? (Need feedback about this)
- Has mysterious “Comfort Adjustment” function (claims to “increase depth”)

Please post info if you can clarify any questions above

Has anyone found the comfort seats lacking in side support in hard cornering?

Does this breakdown seem correct?
I have the luxury seating package and can confirm only what my car has. Your list above for the Comfort seats seems correct to me, but I can't confirm or deny the two items that require a comparison to the sport seats since I don't have them: less side bolster up high and softer seat. The rest of your Comfort seat list matches what I have in my car.

Thigh extensions are also electric in comfort seats. Otherwise essentially correct. The luxury seats are more comfortable and adjustable. I have them.

Comfort seats: are all controls and adjustments duplicated on passenger side? No omissions?

Sport seats: need owner’s to chime in, noone has thus far.

- Changed thread title to make it more general to G60 folks looking for seat comparison info
- Editted initial post with information found out so far, and noting questions that still need clarification.

Silly me, I just assumed that sport seats were an additional cost upgrade since that’s how it is on most cars, but I was wrong. Comfort seats are actually the upgrade on most G60’s, at a cost of about $1360. On the i5 M60, comfort seats are standard and sport seats are a no-cost option, but since you lose power headrest driver side, and lose seat memory, side bolster and thigh bolster on the passenger side, it’s actually no-credit downgrade. Kind of mean actually.

I have to wonder if the slightly thicker side bolsters are worth losing $1300 of useful passenger side adjustments.

I have not found any issue. The bolstering is enough for me when cornering quickly because it holds the torso well.
