Sadly, I would agree with you. Last 2024 ship to Texas leaves on the 28th, but I have hope it will be a January New Years present for you!

The last two tickets that might net me a 2024 delivery. I swear, if that damn thing isn't on one of these two...

Aren't there any ships leaving in December?

I will be out of the country anyway, coming back on January 9th, so it is ok. Having it waiting for me at the dealership would be more painful.

The next outbound ship after the 28th is the 14th it seems. Definitely might be waiting for you on your return ☺️

Here are your possible voyages:

I would say that it will be on the ship from December 14th or 21st. What are your two cents on this one?

Based on my unfolding experience, I think those seem very likely. Mine arrived at the port on November 15th and I’m hoping it’s on the one on the 27th or (preferably) 28th.

It seems like 2 weeks is pretty standard now.

Once it goes 150 you cannot make any more changes because they are gathering the components to build your car. Once you see it go to the body shop your car will be done in less than a week as long as it doesn't get hung up in QC.

I resembled that remark! Mine came in when I was out of the country as well. But due to Spanish licensing and tax procedures I still was able to do it all on time before they could have delivered anyway.

I don't know how y'all get actually useful information out of the Genius line, my experience just now was the same as with every customer service line I've ever talked to. I end up knowing more about the system than the person helping me and I just end up frustrated.

The automated system gave me a production week of "(silence) 2025" and the person I talked to said all she had for date was "started production on 11/25" which was the date it entered 112, not actual production.

For context my dealer had told me back in September it would enter production in late Sept, early Oct, only to make up excuses and then eventually admit it was going to end up in production between 01/12/25 and 01/15/25. The fact it's in 112 now all of a sudden makes me wonder if it's beginning work soon, but nobody actually seems to know.

The payload trick on the website still has a blank field for prodDate, which is expected for 112.

I know you've been waiting a lot longer than I have, but being from a personal property tax state with a January 1 declaration date, I really hope mine arrives on Jan. 2 and not Dec. 31. Not only would a December delivery mean paying the PPT on the new one an extra year early, but it probably means paying it on three cars instead of two, as it will probably take me a week or two to sell my existing car (including driving it while the new one is getting ceramic coated, etc.)

Either way, hoping we both spend the vast bulk of 2025 enjoying our new rides!

Why don't you install the plugin for the browser that lots of us from here have? Perhaps you will see more than the dealer is telling you by doing that.

Check the link below. And I don't have Chrome, I use it with Edge.

https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1968303

This is what I see in My Garage.

And below is what I see extra after using the plugin.

Mine also entered "Awaiting Carrier Assignment"

Seems like CiprianS and I may have vehicles sharing a boat. Love the Oxide Gray color by the way. Phytonic Blue Metallic and Vegas Red Metallic were my top colors before test driving an Oxide Gray Metallic. I went with blue but Oxide Gray would've been my 2nd choice. It has a bronze undertone that is beautiful in the sunlight.

Where does yours come to? Does it also come in Galveston or do you have a closer port and VPC there or close to you in Alabama?

Honestly, I ordered Oxide Grey without even seeing the color in person. I liked the Cape York Green very much when I was at a UDE event in Houston and saw it live. But, I still ordered the car in Oxide Grey after seeing the Cape York.

Since I was talking about the UDE, that was a successful campaign from BMW to call it like that. After that event, I got in the market for a G60 so they got me with it.

I need to look into finding out the destination port. Feel like Galveston or Baltimore are roughly the same distance without looking.

By looking on Google Maps the distance between Mobile (I just put there Mobile from Alabama as it was the first city from Alabama that came into my mind) to Galveston is less than half the distance from Mobile to Baltimore. But you made me curious now about where your car will get to.

If they only ported in Mobile, they could put it on a barge and take it up the Tombigee, fork off onto the Black Warrior, then drop it off near my home.

We'll see - my sales guy said as part of my deal (not that it was any kind of crazy deal) that for BMW reasons of their own they will want me to take delivery the same month it arrives and not carry over. I told them if it was Dec-Jan that might be an issue and we just kind of left it open. If it actually arrives on Dec. 30 or 31 I'm going to tell them January (my kids will all be visting then anyway and I don't want to spend a couple hours at the dealership while they are visiting, nor deal with all the "let me drive it" action when I get it home). If it arrives Dec. 23 I'd feel worse doing that, though I probably shouldn't. Hoping for a delivery in early January and for above normal temps rather than ice when it arrives.

I my car is finally in transit having left the factory! Next question: How long will it remain in port before being loaded? The history has not been good so I am not expecting a quick 2 - 3 day transfer. But, with that being said, I do have my fingers crossed 🤞!!

The browser plugin is just surfacing the payload you can see using dev tools. I mentioned in my post that a lot of those fields are empty right now because it's sitting in 112--once it hits 150 those get populated.
