Hi,

Does anyone has any experience with installing a custom exhaust and diffuser on 550e that is visible from the back and hopefully sounds better?

At least it looks like a dual one. Was wondering if there anything like M5 diffuser and exhaust compatible with G60.

The 550e has the same B58 I6 that my 540 has. And it is dual exhaust. So I imagine the 550e is as well.

That’s a major improvement to the rear appearance without going overboard on huge diameter tips.

I'd love to know what rear diffuser they're using with the exhaust work!

I just emailed them to learn more and will report back. Asked specifically if this will also work on the 540i since many Americans here have that. Airedale may be able to get this since he’s in Europe.

I hope so. But it should be simpler. What they are showing is a 520 with a single pipe running through a muffler and coming out 4 pipes. I already have 2 pipes. So they should just be able to cut off the ends where they tilt down, and run straight pipes out the back split into 2 resonators each. I don't need a whole muffler system.

Anymore I’m more interested in the sound inside (stereo) than outside the car. But that’s because I’m old, according to my kids. Bolt on quad tips with a diffuser to accommodate would be the route I’d take now vs swapping out the entire exhaust.

Response from CT Automotive. First part was in English and second part is online translation of original Dutch text. Also included were the images that I didn't see on IG. I think this looks like a very good option for G60 ICE models.

we make this fit in the original diffuser.

this is a custom modification on the original exhaust system but i think i can make a sports silencer for you that will fit the 550e i think this will fit the 540i as well,
