Issue with Bass Vibration Noise from Rear Window/Trunk in i5 eDrive40
Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my i5 eDrive40 where certain songs with bass create an annoying rattling noise. This sound seems to be coming from somewhere between the rear window and rear speakers, and it vibrates in sync with the bass frequencies. When I step outside the car, I can still hear it, almost as if it’s coming directly from the rear window. Interestingly, the noise disappears entirely when I open the trunk, but it comes back as soon as I close it. Lowering or raising the rear shade doesn’t seem to impact the noise either. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, did you find a solution to fix it? |

Maybe the license plate and frame is buzzing with the trunk closed?

you have the B&W (ergo a subwoofer in the trunk?)
Problem with rattling noises is the sound can come from anywhere and it's difficult to track down. If you can reproduce it with the car standing still (which I get from the context). Time to walk around / crawl inside and start touching and gently pressing things till you found the source. Atleast that is the easier way to find it. So song on repeat (or create your own song with certain frequencies/sweep) and see where it comes from. All the best and please do share the outcome. |

Thanks for your responses I don’t think the sound comes from license plate cause I feel like something is touching to the surface of the rear window. I will control again and update on the issue
