I created this post to let folks know what they're in for if they go EV. In my case, this is my once a year road trip and, yes, it's slightly more annoying in these early days of fast EV charging. The rest of the year driving around town the EV experience is SO much better than ICE that I think it's a fair trade-off.

But I understand where you're coming from.
There's no doubt that EV charging takes longer than filling up a gas tank. And Electrify America can be very annoying, especially on the road. But there two additional factors for prospective EV buyers to consider:

1. If you typically visit the restroom and get coffee and/or a snack when you stop, the time difference is reduced.

2. As long as you can charge your EV at home or work, you will NEVER have to visit a gas station. This saves a large amount of time every year.

Fair enough and I think it gives those considering EV an idea of the trade offs. It will work for some but not everyone.

I was told 1000 when I got my IX which is really not much at all if you’re using it frequently. Quite a big reduction from a 2yr unlimited, again, if you’re actually using it again. I home charge so doesn’t impact me.
