Hold on. I watched this video a few times and they are describing very real world experiences at real world highway speeds and real world weather conditions in the northeast and were quite critical and negative on performance under those conditions.

They were also very clear to point out the build quality of the car is not as good as the mainstream German brands. What they did emphasize, fairly I thought, was that the Lucid was designed first and foremost as an electric car and interior room benefitted much more from that compared to say a 5 series that has one platform for every kind of drivetrain.

They were also positive on the rear wheel drive version because of its lesser weight and handling characteristics. And they made real comparisons to other electric versions from say BMW in respect of damping and road feel. They point out, which I agree with in my experience, that various models from BMW have not managed to preserve road feel when the car is in comfort mode. They were very clear on the limitations of the Lucid 2 wheel drive version vs the AWD version.

So I didn't see it as so slanted. They like it as an EV and their emphasis is that as a luxury sedan it has a great brake and steering feel. I have never a driven the car, but after watching this I might.

Those aren't really EV-related complaints, and are ultimately superficial in the face of the glowing reviews they've given on the car. What they're not doing to the Lucid is calling it an "overpriced first-generation disposable product" like most of their other EV reviews, even though it would fit that bill perfectly for the reasons I stated before.

Complaining or criticizing range is certainly an EV complaint. And the interior room benefits of electric cars are quite valid comments. They never said it was cheap. Their clear message was they really liked the driving characteristics of the car's brake and steering feel. That's how I see it anyway.

Agree well said. I found it amazing how they gave the lucid and virtually no other EV a pass in that respect. Especially like you said to a company just hanging on and it the Saudi funding ever dries up will be the next fisker.
