Soon I'll be coming home to animal kingdom. Almost got another GS puppy the other day...would have been the perfect segue.

That was my first step. Rest was easy!
Getting the first one was easy - 2nd is going to take a little persuasion. Animals are typically the quickest route...and what I did to get my first one (beings that I now have a cat - named Portia).

Been eying this one for the last month, just haven't pulled the trigger on calling. This would replace the M4 as my daily (same - only do a few hundred miles / month), and think the AWD would be better suited for winter.

Of course, need to convince the Mrs. That's the hard part.
Paying for it is easy. Convincing the wife this is necessary is the challenge.

Yet somehow she doesn’t have a problem adding to her shoe, purse & jewelry collection to rival Imelda Marcos.

Getting the 991.1 Carrera S was the best move for me.
The sound, the rawness, the size/looks, handling is just amazing.
It is my DD though but I only put about 300-350 miles per month on it.
PDK or manual? I have a new to me 991.1 C4S and still find my E86 M Coupe far more raw. I went PDK for various reasons so I miss the engagement (no pun) of a manual (like my E86) but still.

The 991.1 does sound awesome at 4k and I love the bark on startup. Could use some Soul headers but not at $5k.

C2S PDK.
I definitely love how small the car is, the handling is awesome and I love that I can feel everything but still feels comfortable enough to use as my DD

If you get a Porsche with a PDK transmission, make sure it has the Sport Chrono package. I`ve driven PDK transmission Porsches, with and without Sport Chrono, and Sport Chrono is a “Must” with the PDK transmission. The difference is night and day on how the PDK transmission shifts with the Sport Chrono package.

It's a bit overrated though because people act as if one is forced to let the car handle when to shift. I drive in M by default and choose when to shift, the only things Sport Chrono offers me is better throttle response, nothing else. In saying that it is night and day throttle response.

Mine is pretty loaded and yes, I wanted Sport Chrono and Sport Exhaust as options on the 991.1.
Still loving the 3.8L NA engine sound and response so much.
It is well mated to the PDK.

Yeah, when you put the car on Sport mode the Sport Chrono package makes the transmission shifts feel like you are driving an F1 car.
