Another recall for G60
Good grief. This is for steering, and luckily limited to a much smaller number of cars. Wonder if all the cost-cutting and pressure on the suppliers is causing them to cut too many corners?

Well it is a small number of cars spread between series. Hopefully you won't have an issue. Wonder if my 550e, which is in QC purgatory at the factory will be affected? Beginning really believe that perhaps the bean counters went too far?

This appeared for my car on the recall site but the brake recall no longer shows... Idk how long this is going to be but strongly considering canceling at this point. BMW needs to get their respective crap together....

I believe at least one person who had a week 36 vehicle, that made it to U.S. shores, had a stop sale upon arrival for this recall. I think it was nt25940.
nt25940 - Did they get back to you regarding an ETA for resolution to this? |

Just checked the BMW site and only the integrated brake recall shows for mine. However, I have occasionally felt like there is actual play in the steering wheel—like it forward a bit during maneuvering if any pressure is applied. Anyone else?

Vehicle was delivered to VPC NJ/NY on 09/28. Talked to BMW Genius, informed me that my vehicle was recalled do to Steering Spindle recall. Work order started on 09/30. IBS was not an issue (I'll take that with a grain of salt). No more details available.

I have a WK 36 vehicle.
That has been delivered to the dealer in WK38 that is affected by this universal joint recall. No timeline on a fix given this recall is now breaking I’m hoping to get more info. But when I called on Monday there was nothing. Car doesn’t show as being impacted on the UK recall checker either. Really frustrating. |
