Lol! Too bad the movie franchise didn't work.. it was meant to be anime! And my apologies, Scrapula. I'd never met a unicorn before.. do you grant wishes? If so, I'd like a unicorn!!! All I get in the car is, "Yes, dear."
Or "thats wonderful, honey". But of course, we're all people and anyone can appreciate a fabulous car!
And its interesting some folks love and use the wheel paddle here. Its not vestigial to everyone obviously! I was surprised to see it was still there as they got rid of pretty much everything else..
I tend to criticize my old stuff when I get new and its the same here. The G30 was like a dollhouse car... It imitated a mid-size sedan nicely but through the lens of the 20th century! From the gear shifter that had lost its way to those deadly little ac buttons that mocked us with their size and puny insignificance... this was a tired old design that cried out for something better!
So when I saw the wheel I was a bit surprised. The touchscreen is all I've needed so far but like a well-bulit house, everything you need is at hand. Sometimes a car is so perfectly made its like you did it yourself! Now if I get that brake problem...

Idk. Car people never really grow up. They just can afford the toys. I used to watch Speed Racer all the time as a kid. I really wanted a Mach 5 as well. Then I saw The Spy who Loved me and I wanted a submersible Lotus Esprit. And pretty much every James Bond car.....and boat.

Lol. All I will get is "SLOW DOWN! Why are you going so fast?" (While I am doing the speed limit for a change.) Unless she is in a hurry, then it's "Can't you go any faster? We're going to be late" (When I am already doing 150KM/H (93 MPH) in a 120 KM/H zone (75 MPH). And we are Never late.)

For me it started young when a co-worker of my father’s took me for a ride in his 1965 Jaguar E-Type.

My Stepfather was an Engineer. I learned young to appreciate and maintain mechanical equipment. I learned Backyard mechanics, and my first job in High School was at a tire shop. They had a race team and I ended up on the pit crew. That did it for me.
