So is this a stock G60 540 launch

Stumbled across this on YouTube. Guy doing a launch in his G60. The car has temp tags. So much for the break-in period? 💀

G60 540 Launch

Is this stock? I’m assuming so.

Hmm. Some people don't. Especially if they only plan on keeping it for 2-3 years. And it's basically what the SR had me do when I was on the test drive. It's why I will only buy custom orders from now on.

Same. Who knows what these people have done to a tester…

I tested a 540d and a 550e at a local dealership, both cars available for purchase, with very minor mileage.

Both so badly damaged already, it hurt to look at them.

What type of damage? Other than maybe a rock chip or ding from a door I’ve not seen anything significant.

Rims, body, front, door dings, interior scratches. And I can only assume that each and every tester tried to drive as hard as they could (including me).

That's what I am talking about how dealers abuse these cars while showing them off to prospective buyers. that's why now I will only buy custom builds. I don't know, for certain, but I think they are not supposed to put them in the showroom and use them to show customers, or for test drives. Once they come in, they prep them and turn them over to the new owner. At least here in Spain, it would be a waste of time, since they couldn't build and sell a 540iX to anyone here regardless.

It seems to me these testers are going to need a trip through the body shop and wheels/interior parts replacement. Can you imagine if this is one of the cars you ended up purchasing? I don't think they even really need to tell you if the car has already been repaired. They just sell it as a demo, and you think you just got lucky and got this really good deal. Instead you got a prettied up disaster that was never broken in properly. Next you would be on this Forum complaining on how crappy your car turned out.
