Ambient Air?

No notice of the ambient air package for any kind of 5ers in Europe, I wonder if other markets have this option?

I very much enjoyed it in my 6GT 2021, mainly because ionizaion is a such a great deal for long trips (or I convinced myself so). Was upset that this option is not available (among many other things) when I first spec'd out my new 5.

Not available in the US. Kind of weird since MB offers their version in the US market.

Do you think it's because it didn't sell well on BMW models? Seems kind of cool, but those cartridges are laughably expensive at $45-55 a pop.

Yes possibly and while I love scent and never leave the house without wearing some fragrance, there are a lot of people who "think" they are allergic to fragrance

Not a deal breaker, of course. Just annoying, like removed pockets in the backseats. :P

I’m not allergic, but certain scents can cause my nose to clog up and my eyes to water. We use unscented detergent, no fabric softeners, unscented deodorant, etc. I like the scent of conditioned leather in my car. I get that every time I detail the interior.

I've gotten so use to not wearing cologne or body scents, from a lifetime in healthcare, that I'd have to consciously remember to use it. It's been a policy in every healthcare organization, throughout my career, not wear anything noticeable by patients. For exactly, the reasons you mentioned

I have as well. In the military, as well as Civil Service it is frowned upon and considered unprofessional to wear Cologne in a work setting. it might affect someone's allergies or be offensive to someone else. So I only use it on the weekends.

My wife is sensitive certain scents. She can get the same symptoms as Scrapula, but also a headache to go along with it. She has a Home made Soap and Candle making business and some scents set her off. Others not at all. We have found that the main issue is mostly whether or not they are "Essential Oils" or "Fragrance Oils". Essential oils are pure extracts of the plant/fruit etc. Whereas Fragrance oils can have synthetic ingredients to make a bunch of chemicals smell like something else. So check to see if the scent you want to use is based on Essential Oils or Fragrance oils. Spoiler: Essential oils are much more expensive than Fragrance oils.

Thanks for explaining the difference. I never understood the meaning of essential oils. They aren’t like an essential amino acid, which you must ingest because your body can’t make them. I use bath bombs made with essential oils.
