Travel and Comfort System - G60 - Standard Equipment

Hi! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. One of the items I noticed in my list of standard equipment as my G60 is scheduled for Production is "Travel and Comfort System". I've done some online searches, but can't find out exactly what this entails. I've read where you can get laptop holders, coat hangers, etc. but what actually comes with the vehicle "out of the box", so to speak?

I just saw this package and it is part of the ZGT, Premium Enhanced Package here in Canada. Option code 4FL Travel and Comfort System. For rear passengers from what I understand - don't know the full details.

The only thing that comes with the vehicle are the ports on the back of the front seats. You don't actually get any of the accessories to plug into those ports.

The backs of the front seats have USB-C power sockets. There are also sockets to which you can connect some (insanely overpriced) accessories. Accessories include tablet holders, hooks for hanging bags, and clothes hangars.

I wish it was something I could opt out of. The center console already has 2 USB-C outlets. I will probably never use them.

It's the hard plastic pads on the back of the front seats where there are opening sockets and the 2 USB-C outlets at the top. You can get Tablet holders, Coat Hangers, etc. that plug into the sockets. The USB's are to plug in the tablets to keep them charged. No connection to the entertainment system I believe.

Is it odd that BMW USA doesn't show any of the options for this? However BMW in Spain shows there is an Adjustable folding tray, a Coat Hanger, and a universal hook for shopping bags, Handbags etc. As well as Tablet mounts for just about any tablet. It's like people here would take their BMW on road trips but in the US they don't expect you to. You can get the items on Amazon though.

This ^^. I don't get it. Why are there no accessories listed on the US website. No floor mats, no travel/comfort stuff, nothing.

In fact, the vast majority of online OEM part distributors haven't even bothered to add MY24, let alone MY25 to their database. Annoying when you put in a part number that you know is correct (e.g. floor mats) and there's no choice to select a G60 from the drop down for fitment verification. I guess they just want to lose business.

Those things used to be listed on the website last year, but my sense is that the BMW USA shop is a bit of an online sh*tshow, case in point I’ve been trying to find the base roof system for my i5 but the store resolutely refuses to show it to me, despite me knowing that it’s a thing. It may well be possible to order all that stuff through dealers.

However, if you look on Amazon, most of the stuff can be ordered there in their BMW shop.

I did look there, but I’m not 100% certain these are the correct ones. The newer BMW models seem to have an attachment connector in the back of the seat, and older ones have something that clip to the headrest. I’m confused lol.

I have a '24 i5 M60 and bought the hook shown in the picture. It IS expensive (what associated with BMW isn't??) but it simply plugs into the recess on the back of either front seat and is useful for me for coats, hats and other light objects (1.5 Kg limit, so no 6-bottle wine carriers).

That's because some bright boy decided to integrate the adapter they were already selling to the back of the seat and make it built-in. Personally, I would rather have a seat pocket on the back of the seats instead.

Here is a link showing 4 of the available Travel and Comfort System accessories, for anyone interested in the type of stuff you can get.

Thanks. I will probably end up getting the hooks. If nothing else for those quick runs to the store or my wife to put her handbag so it isn't on the floor. The trays look like a good idea if you have children. Same for the IPad Holder. The jacket hanger looks too traveling salesman for me. And I don't wear suits. I saw someplace else, there is a camera holder for those who like to put a Go-Pro in between the seats to record their journeys.

Nothing there for me. If I had kids, the fold down tray would be useful. Maybe the hook for my dog leash, but then it would just swing and hit something.

Lol. I don't know if I am going to let my dogs in my car. At least for awhile. I did order a seat protector for it I will leave in the trunk just-in-case though. For now they can ride in the Range Rover.

I also ordered removeable Tint for the windows since tinted windows are illegal in Spain. I'm pretty sure I can have the rear and back windows done though. But not the Driver and front passenger. So I ordered 35% for those. I can remove them if I get pulled over and avoid the ticket. Then put them back up when I get home. Will see how they work and I will keep informed. I'll wait till I get back to the states and get them professionally done. I don't think mine comes with Privacy glass like I believe the US models come with in the states.
