So on BMWUSA they have the 2024 G60 530i xDrive and 540i xDrive curb weight showing the same 4,158 lbs for both models with the exact same weight distribution of 53.2 front / 46.8 rear.

Does anyone know where else to find the real curb weight and weight distribution for the 2024 540i xDrive?

They could be the same weight but with 2 more cylinders in the B58 it would seem it should be slightly heavier. I thought the press releases would list the 540iX weight but only found the 530i/530iX, the latter is 4158. I looked for some specs on both engines and one source listed the B48 at 427lbs and the B58 at 306lbs. This doesn’t sound right so the search continues. You could compare weight of G30 530i vs 540i but that may not give the answer either as the 540i had more standard features.

Negative, hasn’t been released yet, as I’ve been looking for this as well.

4,158 is definitely the 530i xdrive, based on the press release.

Based on the weight gain of the 530 from the last platform (i’ll have to double check, but I believe it was just under 200 pounds?) I would anticipate that the 540 xdrive I will land somewhere in the 44 to 4500 pound range….

We shall see…

BMWUSA.COM has updated their website to reflect the correct weight for the 2024 G60 540i xDrive and it’s definitely a porker coming at 4,370 lbs with a front to rear weight distribution or 54.3/45.7

The 2023 G30 540i xDrive was 4,050 lbs.

That’s an increase of 320 lbs over its predecessor!

I can’t imagine how much the G60 M5 will weigh, my guess around 4,800 lbs.

Geesus that’s a fat pig. Getting less excited about trading my sub 4k lb G30 with only 40k miles for that. And there’s no way the M5 could be under 5000lb when the 550e is 4916 or similar. Imagine getting in an accident with these heavier cars. More damage so insurance premiums have to go up to cover it.

I kept my G30 after lease end. Will just wait for LCI, maybe it will get better.

I’m planning on doing the same thing, to keep my 2023 540i when the lease is over in a little over a year from now.
