I used built-in Spodify app (with prenium subsciption).
and I have Android Auto as well.
the built-in App got better quality.
but the Spodify on Android Auto is always the default source.

I switch the audio source to built-in Spodify and leave the car. when I come back, the music is from the android auto Spodify again.
and it's the same song, so hardly notice it.

is there a way to make the built-in App default?


and I don't want AA to connect the phone feature, either. (I only want apps)
but i dis-check "phone", leave and come back, the phone connection is back again.

any way the fix the setting?

In iDrive there are check boxes for each phone function. Are you saying you uncheck the box for phone calls but leave it checked for maps and music, then when you come back it is checked again? Mine stays checked or unchecked.

yes indeed.

there are 3 checks: phone, xxxx(bluetooth?), android auto, in the phone connection and setting.
i un-check it. leave and come back. the check is back again.

and this android connection is made when i get onboard. so maybe this is the reason it has higher priority.

i have to long press "music" icon and change the audio source.
or i have to go "phone" icon and un-check "phone".
