As cars move to the 800V architecture, they'll charge even faster than they do today, so you could charge from 10-70% in about 15-20 mins, which is the minimum time you should stop after driving 400+ Kms non-stop anyway. Unfortunately, BMWs are not in this group of cars yet, but they do charge quite fast anyway.

As someone who bought the first iX M60 in Michigan and commutes 100 miles a day as a physician I can say the electrix does what it needs to do. The air suspension is amazing and saving $500 a month on premium gas is huge. Yes I have a L2 48A charger at work and thus I spend about $25-40 a month on electricity at home. We are the first allocation for a new M5 having owned about 10 M cars and currently have a 2024 X5Mc we are seriously considering this. The new M5 may be sportier but with terrible Michigan roads and winter and the weight of the PHEV and $30-40k more in cost the i5 M60 looks even better. Plus wait till the LCI where it gets the new battery the iX is getting going from M60 to M70 will give it 50-70 more miles range and prob 40-60 more hp at the same weight. I drove a 530 M sport as a loaner and what a great car for the money. Not saying the EVs are there yet but as battery tech and weight get better they will close the gap. Look at the Rimac to see what can be done.
