New i5 M60 switched 12 V locations.

Just brought home a new i5 and wanting to install a radar detector. Has anyone installed a 12 V accessory or know of a suitable fuse number or location?

So far the car is awesome and in most respects superior to the previous m550.

I have a Blendmount wiretap in the mirror (and their mount). Works great. Dealer did it for me as a courtesy.

(By the way, Blendmount’s site says the mirror is incompatible with their mount. I used the one I had in my M550 and it works—it’s tight and you can’t move the mirror as freely as without, but I just made sure it was adjusted where I wanted it before the detector was mounted).

Mike, thanks for the heads up.

I used the passenger foot well fuse panel to stack a hardwired connection on our past M550i. I have used mirror taps in the past, how difficult was it to find and connect the two leads on the i5 mirror?
