IDrive/BMW services issues

So I think I rebooted ID maybe 3 times in the 6+ years that I owned my G30. In a couple of months of G60 ownership, I have had to reboot well over 10 times. I routinely find that when I send a destination to the car from the app, it isn't received, and I also receive no traffic info. This afternoon both of those things happened and I also received an "emergency call system failed" error, or something along those lines (forgot to get a pic of the actual error). Two resets of ID did nothing to resolve any of the issues, so I headed out anyway, and about 15 minutes into my drive, everything suddenly resolved.

I haven't had these issues on our X50e, which has the same version, so I am thinking that I might have a hardware problem.

I'm curious if any of you are seeing similar issues with dropouts in BMW services and/or ID requiring rebooting?

Someone on the iX forum had a similar issue which was found to be a defective telematics unit which needed replacement.

Very good to know, thanks! I will add it to the list of weird AC dripping sound, and squeaky sideview mirror -- guess it is time to actually schedule a service appointment!
