BMW Copiers
now, im not the type to judge others by their car taste and whatever nick nacks they have on it. but this one has really gotten to my head.
we all know bmw has made the corona rings their trademark by just putting it on most if not all of their cars nowadays. but i am seeing more and more of these mazda3's with after market corona rings. kind of like how audi is slowly making the led strips and "audi" thing. imo, this is no different than putting a poser badge on a car. to even make it worse, they also add the shark fin!. seriously, why not just by a used 3'er. i have also seen the corona rings on a subaru impreza! im not sure if its just a fad where i live (vancouver) or is it happening elsewhere also? |

Its happening here in Manila too...Mazda 3's mostly...seen some Jazz/Fit with one big ring of light also...
I don't really care though...I am just glad than when I get beside a car with that...I am in my E46 325i (which incidentally did not come with angel eyes, just retrofitted), and I know he probably wants to be in my car instead! hehe!

... The latest generation of Civic goes back to a tried-and-true formula in an attempt to regain momentum. And that formula is simply this: Subtly copy BMW’s 3 Series in order to give buyers a vehicle that has overtones of the one they wish they could afford.

It's not nice to make fun of people less fortunate then you. Making someone happy with kindness is something that money cannot buy. The world will be a better place.

Back to the OP's question, I see it often here in Georgia. Mazdas, Civics... Yesterday I saw a full-size chevy truck with projectors and angel eyes....and a one-inch gap between the lenses and fenders, too. Whatever. It doesn't bother me.

It does annoy me.
There are a lot of people who put shark fins on their cars over here, and they still have their original antenna sticking out. Oh well. Everyone unto themselves. |

This barely moves the needle on the care-o-meter.
