I have been using the Native Idrive Spotify (not CarPlay) for the past six months without issues. This weekend, it kept trying to load the Library, without success. Therefore I logged out of Spotify, and when logging back in it is showing an error message that Spotify is currently not available.

Anyone else having this problem? I am in Germany for reference.

I have had issues where the native Spotify would not load the library but it doesn't happen very often I think that's just a network issue that you're experiencing. Did it eventually come back

I have had intermittent Spotify issues in my last 3 BMW's, and the G60 is no exception. When it hangs on load I either manually start a track from my phone (which works from an audio standpoint but doesn't clear up the UI not loading on iDrive) or I switch to Sirius XM until I can restart the car. Sometimes it loads on its own after a few minutes. I used to have conflicts between the app and Spotify in Car Play, so I actually disabled CarPlay.

It happens to me once or twice a year that it's not working properly. BTW, I use the bmw app as opposed to apple/android connection. I've spent hours unsuccessfully trying to fix it, and 1 to 2 days later it corrects itself.

Unfortunately this is not an intermittent issue for me. Spotify in Native iDrive has been inoperable for me since last weekend (I may be one of the few who prefers using native iDeive over Apple CarPlay).

I was wondering if it is because I have been using my US based Spotify Family Premium account in Germany for a year now. Spotify says it only works out of the country for 14 days. But all my other Spotify clients are still working…

So I spent the day converting my US family premium account to a German based family premium account. Turns out you need to work with support to do that, otherwise Spotify will force you into an individual account.

So I am done converting my Spotify account to be Germany based now, and will see if my BMW Spotify works tomorrow
