Incoming Call Lighting Effect…No Call Incoming

All of a sudden the incoming call light strip indicator is active and flashing even though I have no incoming call. It continued to flash even after shutting off the car and returning later. Only way to stop it was to turn off that function in the interior lights settings.

Any ideas? Do I need to reset iDrive?

Perform a headunit restart. Hold down the volume knob for 70 seconds. Glitches happen. Not uncommon.

Garage List
I had a weird glitch today that fixed itself after about 5 minutes. I set a destination in the car's nav system while I was stopped under a highway underpass. Everything seemed fine until I got out from under the bridge and then the nav system showed me on the map driving through buildings and across roads where there were no roads. It's like the system lost track of where I was positionally. After getting on the freeway a couple of minutes later, it re-centered me properly on the map and "knew" where I was again. I suspect the nav system glitched a little when I was under the bridge and maybe it could not make contact properly with the GPS system. At least it corrected itself shortly afterwards.

Maybe your problem is similar but with the phone system/app.

I performed a reset (I think) and turned back on the effect, seems to be normal again. Thanks! I sure hope I don’t have to perform resets often.
