My BMW app update, iDrive reboot needed
Early this morning, I got a My BMW app update on my iPhone. After the update, the My BMW app would not update info and when I approached my car, the car would not "come to life" and turn interior and center console lights on and update the time stamp on My BMW app.
I did an iDrive reboot, and now all is fine again. Tesla....please, please help BMW! Some people new to BMW, would now know how and why to deal with all these tech and software issues sadly unique to BMW! Last edited by deutsch100; 05-23-2024 at 07:07 PM.. |

Mine was fine after the update. I don’t think these cars are not going to be like Teslas in the near future.

Mine worked fine after the update, but your point is very well taken.

After most My BMW app iOs updates, I have not had to reboot iDrive (but it has happened).
I knew right away this morning after the My BMW app update, that this update killed the app communicating with my car. iDrive reboot complete....app and car back to life! :/ |

This is 4.5.2 version, right? Works the same for me, but maybe because I beta tested it.
