Miami Grand Prix parking

Looking for some tips or guidance regarding parking around Hard Rock Stadium and surrounding areas for this years Miami F1 race.

Ticketmaster is trying to get an extra $75 per day out of me for parking.

To any locals or guys that have attended in year past, what is the parking situation like? Thanks!

I parked in lot 35 last year which is less than a mile to the track. This lot was easy to get in and out of as well with traffic not being too bad in that area. Well worth the $50 or so cost.

Great info thanks! Looks like lot 35 is my best option. I'll be driving a POS loaner not my M3 so I'm not worried about where it is parked.

Saturday we're in the start/finish grandstand and Sunday we're on turn 18. This will be our first F1, cant wait!

Every time I see this thread I keep thinking you’re asking about where to park for Malibu Grand Prix…

I’m actually looking for Saturday start/finish line tickets as well.

I was in the turn 18 grandstands last year and it’s definitely the best area of the track to see what the cars are capable of. Lots of passing opportunities at the hairpin after the back straight.

I am considering going to the saturday practice runs? What view do folks recommend and are the good sites with tickets? Prices usually drop as it gets closer.

I used seat geek and vivid seats. Their fees are insane but what can you do?

Take a cab, trust me. Reserve one in advance.

Tickets are cheap a few days before the event. I got grandstands last year in the front straight 5th row for like 600 each. Would advise against it though. Luckily the sun only came out harshly for around 20 minutes but if you're not under overhead cover and the sun is beaming, you'll get cooked.

Take a cab from where? Our hotel is 15 min north.

They’re offering me Lot 35 $75 per day. 0.8 mi walk. Not too bad

How far you walk will depend on where you sit. They have a different entrance for different grandstands.

I have a driver take me from Golden Beach and there's an additional 1 mile walk after.

I drove through the hood a few streets away from the stadium and gave some guy and his kid like $20 to use their parking spot.

They had a very good shuttle system there as well. The shuttles will generally drop you much closer than you can park.

The ones on FB are far too advanced.

If you actually drive through on the day of you will find cheaper ones/just offer $20 even if their asking is higher. $20 of crack is better than no crack.

Look up Norland Middle School, last year the school opened their big field for parking and it wasn't terribly expensive if I recall correctly we paid $30. Took us about 15 mins to walk to the entrance by 199th and Turnpike

hm that is an interesting idea .. however I think we need to enter near 203rd and carl barger blvd so that's probably a pretty far walk.

I am getting daily email (and a phone call yesterday) reminding me to buy ticketmaster parking. They sound desperate

Honestly, you will want to walk around, that's part of the experience. We walked the full loop before the race to see all the events, shops, and whatever else they had going on.

Good point! Did you have to buy this parking ahead of time or just pay when you show up?

Pay when you show up, it was very unofficial. I would get there around 10:30-11, get in, walk around and have lunch/drinks, shop around if you feel the need to spend $100 on a damn hat and then go to your seats to watch the race.
