How to run Waze through Android Auto at the same time as the native nav
Can anyone provide a step by step guide on how to do this? I love the graphics and functionality of the native nav app, but I also want the alerts that Waze provides.
I recall there was a thread about this a while ago but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated. |

So far I haven't managed to get both to appear on the large display at the same time.
My solution so far: Apple CarPlay with Waze on the two-finger gesture and the BMW navigation system stays on the home button and navigation button. At the same time, the map appears in instrument cluster. |

I must be missing something because I've found that once I link my phone to Android Auto I can't enter a destination into the car's native nav system.
If there's a way to do this, a step by step guide on how it can be done would be great. |

I just ask the personal assistant to drive to a destination and it goes in the car nav not android auto.

You can put one in the instrument cluster and the other in the main screen - I’ve noticed that if you have a destination in both, then if you switch to the second nav system (Apple Maps in my case) then the native App drops the destination and goes with CarPlay as the primary nav, even though you can switch between the two. Gonna take some more work I think.
