Is there a way to keep it on if i get out of the car, i leave the car and it shuts off even though my gf is still in the car?

Do you leave your key or phone (if you use that as the key) in the car with her? That’s about the only way I can think of.

When you open the driver door on any i model...the car will turn itself off. There has been some speak of keeping the seatbelt buckled to try and "trick" the car, but I have found....you open the driver door enough, and car is off It is really annoying, especially when getting the mail, running back in the house to retrieve something forgotten, etc..

Btw, my last ICE was a Mercedes G63, and it would shut itself off too, when opening the door, unless you had it in P and the parking brake set.

You can first turn the car off, then press the deactivate alarm and activate pre-conditioning on your screen. Then your girl friend should be happy staying inside the car.

What shuts off? When I stop to pickup the mail, put the car in park but the music is still playing and as soon as I get back in I just hit start and we are good to go.
