Both. App is easier (vehicle status, scroll down, touch “remote software upgrade” to see your version).

I think it depends on the model. My i5m60 is on 11/2023.47.

With all the different options of each specific model it is highly unlikely that every car will have the same revision number. M-Sport suspension on one car might need an update but the cars without wont. Best way is to use your app to check or set it up to automatically download an update then install when you have the time.
