VPC What Now?
Sorry if this has been covered before, but my actual ship has just come in -- the Serenity Highway docked in Baltimore today.
It has been sort of fun following Serenity Highway's progress across the Atlantic on marinetraffic.com, including when she was battling storms near Newfoundland, and I was wondering if there is any way to follow the next phase of the process -- i.e., what is going on at the VPC in Baltimore. Or is it back to My Garage and BMW Genius Line? Any ideas? |

Mine was there for about 9 days. It'll change back to in-transit when it's on the way to the dealership. Sometimes cars are at the VPC for a shorter time, especially if there are no issues they have to resolve, and if a truck is available heading in the direction of your dealership.
At the VPC they take care of any recalls, shipping damage, activating keys, etc. They can process many cars each day. You're close! |

I think "in transit" has two meanings. If it's on the ship heading across the Atlantic it's "in transit" and then again when it clears the VPC and it's on a truck to the dealership it's also, again, "in transit."

Mine was 15 days. Besides repairs and recall updates, you need to get assigned to vehicle carrier.

At Port (In germany) -> In Transit (On a Ship) -> At Port (VPC, Baltimore in your case) -> In Transit (On a Truck) -> At the Dealership.
There's some back and forth with At Port and In Transit at this stage. |

If you have an open recall on your car still for the pedestrian safety audio then you will see it be completed the day your car heads to the dealer from the VPC.
