I have summer tires with 300 miles on them from when I put all seasons on my 2023 540.

They are 275/30-20 and 245/35-20.

On the 2024 the tires are now 275/35-20 and 245/40-20.

Does this mean I can’t use 2023 tires on a 2024 because that tire size is not an idrive choice? Or can I use Other?

Is tire size setting used by the dsc?

Those are smaller tires (as the ratio is 35% vs 30% on your 2023) - so I wouldn’t recommend it. Also is your 24 and i5? If so, I’d also make sure the tires are rated to handle the extra weight.

After further reading of the manual, it appears the tire setting is only for pressure and not related to dsc.

So it is for a 540, and thus appears BMW increased tire height in 2024 to ride smoother perhaps, but the width is the same so the 2023 tires can be used and just require selecting other tire.

My 2024 when I order will get all season tires, and then I can use my essential new 2023 summer tires later.
