eSim Problems
When I picked up my 24 i5 M60, I activated the eSim using the BMW connected drive app and my existing ATT family plan. Seemed to go smooth. eSim showed active in vehicle and in Connected drive app. When I checked or logged into my ATT acct. I saw 2 new lines called Connected drive eSims, each active and showing $20/mo. Both had phone numbers assigned, they were even local numbers. Called BMW genius and they of course told me to call ATT.
One eSim showed no data usage, the other had less than a half GB of usage. ATT suggested canceling the line with no usage. ATT canceled the zero usage eSim and immediately after that the vehicle lost it's eSim connection and wanted to setup again in car. I set up eSim activation again, and sure enough I have 2 new eSim Connected drive numbers showing on ATT acct. In addition one the new eSims on the ATT site shows eSim is Apple iPhone 7 32GB, and it wants me to upgrade. lol Not sure I should call ATT again, they seem clueless. I may wait couple billing cycles from ATT to see what happens. Is anyone having any issues with eSim in the new i5?

Went through the same thing and it was explained to us by AT&T.
One line is the eSIM and the other is for the hotspot. It is $20 per because of their software but you will only see one $20 charge on your bill. |
