Technogel Mattress - Too hot
I have a technogel matress Sereno 2.0 for about a month and I sleep very too hot ; https://www.technogelworld.com/en_CA...mattress-range
- I'm 6'0" and 160lbs, low heart rate , so I'm NOT a sweater, even in sport it take time to sweat. - Room temp is 19°C (66°F) @ +/- 40% RH. - Coming from a 21 yo cheapest spring mattress, no issue. - Sleeping with a t shirt and boxer. - Im a VERY good sleeper, I do camping, and can sleep ANYWHERE. Issue : the body part that touches the mattress become very hot and sweaty after around 5h of sleep. Just like those cheap memory foam mattress. I've asked the seller, and he told me those mattress are made to cold down, BUT make sense after 5h it trap heat. WTF, 5h of sleep brings me around 3am, so I turn around non stop. Very uncomfortable, since the body part facing up is very cold and the one facing the mattress very hot. I've tried it with and without a Naturo cotton cover, and did not change. Did try a pj, etc. Nothing. Any tip , OR any mattress suggestion. I believe those ''pillow top'' should do the trick . A bit disappointing for a 5800$ mattress. |

I got a memory foam mattress years ago and it was very warm. Called the store the next day and had them pick it up and bring a regular mattress. Been sleeping fine ever since.

66°F is quite low. The issue is I wont leave it at 66°F in summer !
my a/c wont be able to do this when it's 90°f outside anyway. Like I said, the top part of my body is cold. Looks like it's not breathing. I'll try to change the sheets to see if helps Quote:
The gel take a while to cooldown, so even if I move, I always came back to the hot spot anyway. |

We’ve had a Tuft & Needle mattress since 2015. Not memory foam. It’s been great, still feels new. And a lot cheaper than that thing. I hope you find a good solution.

Really shouldn't have to try and fiddle with it or modify the way you sleep. I'd say dump the mattress and go back to the old reliable. By the time you add up time spend, money spent trying things and sleep lost you'll be ahead taking a loss and getting something new. As much as it sucks.
Just don't tell the perspective buyers how bad it is. Make up something about moving into al already furnished loft or something along those lines. Don't need it, works fine. FWIW, I'm one one of the moderately priced memory foam mattresses and I absolutely hate it. Same deal as you, about 5 hours in I get too hot and that's the extent of sleep I get. If I try for more my back just hurts,,, tossing, sweating, I'm not sure why. It sucks though. |

Or if you really like the mattress other than it sleeps hot - you could try one of these - but as pointed out -
