nice! I also ordered mine, but I'm going to wait for March 2024 or later production for the missing interaction bar
My dealer has my check which they will deposit once they can get me a March 2024 or later production 530i. Yes, I'm a cheapskate... the only extras are the $300 remote engine start and $650 metallic paint... but after thinking long and hard about it, I'm absolutely sure that I don't want any of the other options/packages. |

if I were you, I will add M-Sport to the build. Believe me its worth it. My first 3 BMW were luxury line or whatever but when I went M-Sport pkg couple years back, its no coming back. |

too much or too little? these days, I can't tell anymore.
but for comparison... when I was a kid, my parents bought their first new house. It took the builder almost to complete. I remember going there every couple of weeks just to see how much they completed. The final purchase price for the 4-bedroom, 3-bath, 2-car garage house in the Washington, DC area was $just over $70,000. Last year, I drove past that area and stopped in front of that house where I grew up. Holy macro, it was listed on Zillow for $1.5 mil. My parents should never sold it in the 1990s.(for much, much less than $1.5 mil) |

It’s a lot but adjusted for inflation, a similarly configured 2017 G30 530i would have been in the same ballpark. A fully optioned 2017 530i could go as high as $72K (In 2017 Dollars).
Unfortunately, unlike real estate, cars don’t appreciate in value. BMWs have very steep depreciation curves so if you buy new, keep for 10-15 years or get it CPO, 1-3 years old. I must say I am not in love with the G60 design language and when dropping that kind of scratch on a new luxury car, it has to look the part. The car must make my head turn every time I walk away from it. Have not seen it in person yet, so will keep an open mind. If I were to remain in the BMW fold, it would have to be a G20 M340i or a G60 540i. But the latter configured to my taste would easily hit the $80K threshold. A lot of money to dump for a car that in 5-6 years will retain less than half of its original value.

Is a B48 engine.
Unfortunately everything has become very expensive. My first new BMW cost $24K in 1994. |
