Wildfires, as explained above. My dad even went as far as LLoyd's of London trying to get insurance.

Since I am now the trust administrator, I am carrying on the precedence my father set.

House 3 continues to get funnier... 0 offers, even longer on market and sellers aren't budging. They are considering firing the selling realtor even when both buying and selling agent considered going down on commission... people are wildly lost and confused.

Garage List
Here in an urbanish neighborhood along my commute, there was a burned-out house that sat untouched for at least four decades. The lot was tiny, and had a steep hill off of the street that wouldn't allow for a driveway. Long story short, someone knocked down the house and put in TWO new foundations in the past few weeks. It seemed strange for any builder/contractor to be putting up two houses on "crap" lots with interest rates so high. The builders finally put up a sign earlier this week...Habitat for Humanity.....

we've been looking for houses the past year, usually getting outbid by huge amounts (100-200k over asking). We just landed one a few weeks ago here in northern Va after beating 7 other offers. Many of the houses we liked had more than 10 offers. The market is still very hot in this area atleast.

Yeah, there are hot areas, and then there are HOT areas. I ended up in the latter.
