I just traded my 340 for a XC60. Obviously not the same driving dynamics, but happy with my choice as a DD.

BMW also bought out my in-laws X3 30I lease (this past August) which had 6mos remaining and they received a check for $3500 from BMW and used that as a down payment on a 2024 GLC 300(foolish) Maybe things are different where you are?

You need to distinguish between "BMW" making these offers and your BMW Dealer making the offer. I've never heard of BMW FS contacting a customer directly to encourage an early lease termination. Likewise, I don't believe an off-brand dealership or company can purchase your car under an early lease determination as BMW just doesn't make that available. Now your Acura store may have an affiliated BMW store they're working this magic through, but I'm reasonably certain the offers aren't coming from American Honda.
If you're interested, just ask your local dealer. You know what your lease buyout is, or you can obtain that number from BMW FS, so see what your dealership will pay you to make that payoff for you. I'm assuming if you have to ask about other brands' driving dynamics compared to your BMW, you've either never driven another brand recently . . . or you don't know how to evaluate "driving dynamics". And, as others have said, that isn't going to come from a Volvo or an Acura. |

Audi is probably one of the few that would be in the same price range (I think Porsche would be a little higher) and have similar driving dynamics. There are several other great looking SUVs out there, but most are focused on luxury features, passenger comfort, or making it look like your an off-road warrior.

Shop your X3 around various BMW dealers.
I sold my 2020 X3 M40i which was over miles and got back about $5k. So not only did i not have to pay for new tires, over mileage, but also got a good amount. Dealer offers varied from not interested to $5k, so shopping around is key. If you want to keep the car, BMW also allows you to extend your lease for up to 6 months for same amount you are currently paying. |

Macan - backseat not useable with 2 kids. Cayenne - above the budget I wanted to spend MDX - this was really impressive. It has great driving dynamics for an SUV and i like the styling. Build quality / materials is not as good as BMW, price savings was not significant. GLE53 amg - this was my favorite. Great suv - good styling, well done interior and exhaust crackles / pops. Lol They wanted over sticker on these and I couldn’t get any dealer to give me a fair deal as these are fairly limited. Stelvio - i liked it overall, great driving dynamics. 4cyl is too slow and 6cyl is really aggressive for a daily. You can get Great deals on these. Savings weren’t worth it to me as I think X3 is better overall in terms of space, tech, build quality. X5 - the new idrive is a big turnoff but will most likely be the replacement once the current lease is done. |
