Opinion of styling: my theory
After following through a few car launches I think I'm seeing a pattern emerge!
In all seriousness though, can't really argue with BMW's general approach from a business standpoint. The result speaks for itself: https://www.carscoops.com/2023/10/bm...-evs-up-by-66/ |

Makes sense. It’s part of the 5 steps of change. Most are still in the denial or anger stage calling it fugly when they haven’t seen it in person. I have, at the Welt back in September, and it’s better in person. Do I like the more classic look of my G30? Yes, definitely but times change.

I don't find it "ugly" so much as plain and boring, reminiscent of cars costing half the price, with some clearly awkward design elements that don't really make a cohesive whole.
I'll never find the black rectangle in the front grill "classic." And I'll guarantee that'll be reworked in the LCI. |
