I enjoy these sort of videos as I am a big proponent of dash cams (although they can be a bit depressing seeing all the caca drivers out there).

I don’t think the Tesla driver has a case at all given the warning signs on the road.

People that key and vandalize cars (couple in the video) are about the lowest form of life. I’ve seen a lot of videos where people key Teslas out of some sort of vengeance. So damn weird / sad that people feel that entitled to f#*@ with property that doesn’t belong to them. And the whole “rolling coal” thing is also just weird as hell.

Lol.

But back to the pond incident. All on the Tesla driver.

I had a similar experience at night in the E90. I was in ESD (Efthreeoh Self Driving). Massive rain storm as rural VA can get. 500 feet before a bridge that crosses a river, a drainage system apparatus must have clogged up. Caused a huge pond on the road that was impossible to see at night. Hit it at 55 MPH (legal speed limit for that road section). I was hydroplaning on the chassis like a rock skipping on water. Lol. Didn't end up in a pond or the river, clutched in so didn't stall the engine. Underwear was clean too.

Didn't sue anyone. No battery fire a week later.
If videos of wheelies were against Youtube's policies, a ton of biker oriented channels would be off the "air". There are a ton of channels showing hooligan exploits where wheelies are tame in comparison. One such channel Maxwrist would be banned. I seriously don't know how that guy is still alive or not arrested.

I kind of feel anyone dumb enough to hand over thousands of dollars to fund Elon's R&D Autopilot project deserves whatever happens to them. Is that too cruel?

Driver doesn't have a case against Tesla until FSD is truly authorized as completely autonomous with no hand needed on the steering wheel.

I agree, but I worry about that dummy crashing into me when I have to share the road with them. We're living in a test and learn with human lives.

Serves him right! Hope he wastes a ton of personal time and resources trying to sue.

Agreed, and he's also grasping at straws with a lawsuit against the municipality. Hopefully the city doesn't settle just to prove a point. Instead of filing frivolous lawsuits to waste everyone's time and clog up the court system, the driver should have just kept his eyes on the road.

Got to love software control

Release notes for model 3 a few years back
Disney+ Introduced
Braking improvements ( as F150 could pull up quicker and someone had stuffed up the abs coding without knowing)
Can now recognise stationary ambulance attending emergency rather than hitting it at highway speed

And Tesla let people alpha test new car software amongst us.

But Darwin Award almost goes to inept person that fails to take any responsibility for driving

Interesting scenario. If he wins, doesn’t it conclude that Tesla is misleading the public with their claims of FSD ? Similarly if he loses, wouldn’t it mean or imply an admission from Tesla that their FSD is bullocks ?

What happened to the case of the driver that got decapitated when the FSD drove under a semi ?

The video shows even FSD can't deal with hydroplaning. All the fancy steering, individual wheel braking, and ediff torque vectoring. Ends up in the drink

Computers can't obviate the laws of physics either.
