light output issue with LED lights

Has anyone had this issue before? Brand new 2023 330i with base LED lights. Left light output cutoff is not strait. Based on the pics, it has a few horizontal dips. I would have expected a strait line. Annoying when driving, looks like 2 downward facing “bunny ears” is this normal? Thanks

I took car to the dealership and they inspected it. They said they “compared” to another car and this is normal. Anything else that I can do at this point?

I will say that they gave me a BMW X5 as a loaner, and the lights are pretty terrible on it too but not as bad as my car.

Looks normal. My wifes car is like this too. The U shape is to prevent blinding oncoming traffic and to allow the headlights to be aimed higher up than if that spot wasn't there. At distance it basically makes a U around the car approaching you.

Interesting, thanks for the reply. The dealer did say that this was the way the headlights were designed. I’ve had other LED headlights in the past with much better cutoff but I didn’t consider the distance they project.

Just got mine today, noticed the same thing. It’s normal. Mine has the lasers but I’m pretty sure the LEDs are set up fairly similarly in both types. My tesla had what looked like a more crude cutout - as if a whole LED block was missing in each light, creating a similar pattern.
