I liked the twist but it seemed, like much of the movie, unfulfilled potential. Some of it may be due to the short 90 min runtime. Will not go into detail since I do not want to spoil it for others.

For one thing, it would have been a great twist if the movie ended five minutes or so earlier, as a tragedy, or allowed to run its course. And happy ending and the thing with the moon was just cheesy. But the movie built up to the twist and then so what? What did they do all those years? Nothing is really explored from a character standpoint. Hancock barely had time to absorb it all when the movie ended. I really do not want to give away anything. I just think the movie could have been better served and paced either ending sooner or extended.

Wow! So many different opinions. I honestly thought it was good. It's not Oscar worthy, but it was good.

It was an average movie, had some funny parts. I thought Get Smart was a much better movie. Dark Knight though is the summer grand slam.

VERY funny superhero movie.

I usually don't like superhero movie but I loved this one.

Let me quickly describe the movie theater response:

I agree. It was okay. I didn't expect special effects to be that great, because they weren't going for realism. A kid thrown miles into the air then caught on the ground without his internal organs or spine being crushed is a little silly, but the movie was intended to be more comical than realistic.

quite a few funny parts, but the ending left much to be desired imo.
