Maybe they’ll run the world better than the idiots in charge. Sorry, to change gears, maybe they’ll insist that the manual gearbox shall live beyond 2030

That’s the best news I’ve read today. Valet parking can go to hell!

Valets are supposed to move cars around and they can't drive a car with a manual transmission? That's just wrong. Better to park your own car anyway. It's safer. Even though some places have valet ONLY parking. Then you're f**ked if you have a manual. |

Im guessing the valet only places, if they couldnt do a regular manual, would just do it like they do with the motorcycles, you park yourself up front.
I LOVE to ride up to those places. They arent parking my bike so they just wave me up to post up next to the Ferraris, or even better sometimes they will let me park on the sidewalk right next to the door. |

Kinda looks like (just based on the search headlines) that each author has taken their personal stance to fight for something. If that's what was actually said by the guy? Can't really tell. Each has picked a few sentences that supports their claims. Context be damned.
I think in general the computer nerds are all nutty. But then I read about the speed at which AI"s can solve problems and come up with viable solutions to things like recycling plastics and I can accept them. Day prior there was another employee who raised concerns. Not sure how many are on the testing team. Sounds like something is going on that isn't agreeable though. Now if this bot could be used to help people figure out why their car is misfiring after only a base tune or why they smoke only on decel ... now we're making progress. |

AI isnt AI yet, fortunately/unfortunately. Effectively all they are at the moment oare incredibly complex computer programs that have been developed to compound tasks. What looks like intelligence is just compounding tasks. Like said, this is just a much better quality simulation of sentience. It is still a threat but more of a threat to employees than society. Machines still dont think or feel, they have just now been programmed (and computers are quick enough) to brake a complex task down into a million simple tasks and then complete those tasks at great speed. |
