IDEA: The GT500-H is $399/day for the first 75 miles, then $.99 a mile thereafter. So ideally you want to find a drag strip 35 miles from wherever you pick it up. Then you can do passes for $.25 each and bring it back that afternoon.

$400/day for a mustang ? pass. There are better deals on turo that will get you an exotic for that money.

article also mentions that the 900 hp car only gets pilot sport 4s tires. good luck hooking up below 100 mph with that.

Remember back in the day where people would rent a muscle car, swap the engine, and return it with a lesser engine? I think they now check the engine to prevent that lol.

That’s a great idea! I will order a 2.3l ecoboost from ebay just to have it ready for a swap “in case”.

I had one from either them or the big E where the renter before had a very similar name and for some reason they re-printed their contract and gave it to me. I realized this later that night and tried to call and fix it, but multiple calls over multiple days and their broke-ass customer service system could not figure it out, so I literally could have sold the car on the black market and no one would have known. When I returned it they still couldn’t figure it out, I never paid a dime.
