Should Have Had My First Speeding Ticket!

Generally, I am not an overly aggressive driver, but of course I speed...who doesnt in cars like ours? Anyways, I was driving today and I was at an intersection where it breaks from two lanes into one and this kid in his trailblazer changed lanes behind me like he was going to pass me. So naturally I romped on the gas to about 70 mph so he couldnt pass me (which is uncharacteristic of me) and as soon as I got over the hill there was a cop about 20 car lengths ahead of me in the opposite lane.

So I immediately saw him and slammed on the brakes and sure enough he broke out his radar gun and buzzed me but by that time I was back down to 40 mph...My heart was racing and I felt like an ass...I got away with one there. Just thought I would share the story...had to tell someone. It would have been at least a $200 ticket for doing 25 over...Needless to say, I wont be speeding anymore today!

He saw you then took out his radar gun? Was he parked or moving?

I got lucky about 9 days ago. My first time getting pulled over since I got my car 4 months ago. I was doing 75 in a 65 but he just gave me a warning ticket and let me go. He never told me what/or if he clocked me at. He just asked me how fast I was going and I said around 70. Then asked me if I had been drinking (it was 130 AM) and I said I had about 4 in the last 5 hours(which was true) and he didn't say anything else.
Unfortunately my luck ended three days ago when my car got towed

How old are you? Why wouldn't you want the guy to pass you? By doing that you just lived the stereotype.

He was actually moving....thats how I know I got lucky...He took the time to take out his gun and zap me while moving...god it could have been bad

I know...I generally try to be a nice guy on the road if you know what I mean. I let people in, dont cut off, turn down my music at intersections etc...Sometimes I cant help myself!

Lucky! I was insanely lucky this past weekend..I still don't understand how this happened. Was clear as day, very little traffic on the highway (287) so I was going around 100mph for a good 20 mi. or so. After a while, I felt like pushing it some more b/c I could see the medians and travel this hwy a lot so know where cops generally are. I took it up to 120 and stayed on it for abt. 2-3 mins.

Suddenly, the V1 freaks b/c of a laser hit. I'm thinking holy shit am def. going to jail today..god help me. Didn't see a cop anywhere, so just let off to about 100mph. 30 sec. later a cop comes blazing down the onramp from out of nowhere w/lights going and ready. I've never hit the brakes that hard in my life..I was down to 65 in like 2 seconds haha. So he had to be going at least 120 mph to catch up, was in middle lane, and just blows right by me. I've never been so nervous/happy in my lifee ...def. not risking it again..can't push my luck.

I know....so happy I didnt get a ticket. Its like taking $200 and lighting it on fire! Never a good thing
