I personally prefer the Nikola look over the Rivian... can't get over those headlights on the Rivian. It's like a raptor vs a ridgeline.

Have any of these electric truck makers released any real truck data? Like payloads, towing capacities and most importantly, range while towing? Or are they all intended just for Home Depot duties?

The electric trucks will take market share from the Honda Ridgeline, what little market share the Ridgeline has to be taken.

Rivian looks very plain to me and headlights are very goofy.

Tesla CyberTruck will outsell this 10 to 1.

People that buy these EVs want to stand out and Tesla brand name is synonymous with EV. They also are way ahead of everyone in battery tech and Autopilot.

I remain a firm skeptic on electric until charging improves. I see slow growth and the industry running alongside ICE manufacturers but it won't be profitable unless governments keep subsidising.

Someone should tell Rivian that pickup truck buyers like their truck to exude toughness. Those elephant vagina headlights and overall styling convey the opposite.

Rivian is backed by Ford, right? Sooooo why not hand them the Bronco chassis for electrification?

Why? Probably be easier (and cheaper) to utilize the Rivian chassis and toss the bronco body on there.

I could see Ford doing that though to compete with the new Hummer from GM. You are correct that Rivian is backed largely by Ford. We could definitely see something from this partnership for an electric Bronco.

Hmm, but the Rivian chassis is basically F150 sized. So the wheel base is a lot longer than the Bronco I think.

But either way, I’m sure we will see some sort of collaboration like that. It will be good.

Could make for some really cool movie stunts, or let Ken Block get his hands on something like this.

Those wraps provide pretty much zero camouflage. Maybe they don't get the concept of camo wraps, yet.

The rivian is on the top of my list for electric trucks. The tesla is just too ugly for me.
The rivian also seems more practical with their features size and compartment spaces.
Probably won't replace my truck till 10 years from now, so there will be more options out then.
But the question will BMW ever do a truck? Doubt it but would be sweet if they could avoid the monster grills.

I wonder what the off road range is. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe goes from 20 miles electric on road, to 3 miles climbing a rocky hill. Wonder if it's a similar 7x range reduction for Rivian battery pack.

Pretty interesting stuff about air suspension with hydraulic active anti-roll bars. Why did they go with hydraulic, not electric system. By now most manufactures switched to electric anti-rolls, very strange especially for electric car...
Anyway hard to justify the price for Rivian R1T. The Cybertruck got better specs, technology, battery and infrastructure for less money (let's hope)...

the cyber truck is going to be a similar price for similarly spec'ed out vehicle.

Top spec'd Cybertruck will have extra 100 miles range, double the payload, 14,000 towing vs 11,000 and be slightly faster. Plus it's a much larger truck with 6 seats and 6.5' bed (Rivian is only 4.5' bed and 5 seats). So it's not exactly similarly spec'd, but I'm highly skeptical about CT's price.
