Increased advertising?

Is anyone seeing more ads in the last couple of weeks? I get a splash page ad that needs to be either clicked through or wait for some time. The site is behaving differently recently than it has in the two years I have visited it.

IPhoneX with latest iOS and Safari.

other than the single ad hadn't noticed anything else different

I noticed I am getting a splash page too on my iPhone 12 pro with latest iOS and Safari and Google Chrome. I didn't have this before. However I do block all ads on my PC.
