lol not to be rude, but gasoline is more than just a little combustible/volatile. i would dare say more things have blown up from gasoline than hydrogen. :-P

Hydrogen is a hell of a lot safer than gas as said above. The hydrogen would dissipate pretty quickly if something managed to puncture the tank, which is built like a tank if you'll excuse the pun. Also, as long as we're on the topic of good ideas until they blow up, you don't fertilize vegetation, do you?

These cars are not for sale, these are fleet vehicles and are loaned to celebrities and dignitaries. They have plates because they are manufacturer plates. There are only a few places to fuel these up. These will not be produced for the masses until there is an infrastructure to fuel them. BMW just released an all hydrogen model, to join the hydrogen/gas versions.
When they start packaging wind turbines/solar panels in a prepackaged system to create self sufficient refueling stations for hydrogen we will begin to see more hydrogen cars!

Black Hydrogen 7
Here's an interesting picture I took a few months ago. The vast majority of Hydrogen 7's are Bluewater in color. But out of the 100 or so being built initially, supposedly 4 are black. This vehicle was getting refueled at a mobile liquid hydrogen fuel station.
