2) The exterior/interior recieved "minor" tweaking as is usual of facelifts, but I always seem to think of them as MAJOR improvements.
-The front and rear bumpers have been tweaked to flow better.
-The lights have recieved updated LED tech and have removed the amber.
-The wheels look better.
-The interior is made of better quality materials and flows better.
If he's looking at a 645 then I'm assuming he's looking for a used 6.

Batman--you can update the front and rear lights with a couple grand to the new one's since they're the same shape, that will make your car look a whole lot newer just by doing that.

E63 is referring to the convertible 6 series in this discussion, not the Benz.

E60 = 5er
E62 = 6er Coupe
E63 = 6er Vert

Batman--

My friend just picked up a 6 series convertible last week, an 06 650i. I drive a 335 coupe, so I'll give you my thoughts on the two cars.

6 series--much more luxurious, more comfortable, smoother. You don't feel the speed at all, you don't get thrown back into your seat when you accelerate. Also, the handling is not as confident as the E92. Again the seats are much more comfortable, you have more road presence, you own the road more, people take you more seriously, it looks much better, and the convertible is an excellent touch. I drove the car with the top down, windows up, seat heaters on and didn't feel at all cold in the sub 60 degrees nighttime temperature.

The E92. Performance wise it really kills the E63. The car is tighter, feels noticeably lighter, handles better, more involved steering. Also, when you push down in the accelerator you really get thrown back into your seat because of the torque from the twin turbos. Again, the 6 will be a lot better in this category when it gets the twin turbo V8, but that's not happening for a little while and it seems like you're going used anyway. The 3 is ubiquitous in L.A. It's not unique like the 6. You don't have nearly as much presence. Also, I don't know if you're going auto or MT, but the auto in the E92 is muuuuch better. Shifts are much quicker, etc...

So it depends if you want style and luxury or performance. That's a pretty easy way to distinguish the two cars.

As for myself, I'm happy with my E92. The 6 series is simply too nice of a car for me at my age. If I was older I would be happy with the 6, I don't think I'll need as much energy in a car at that time and would prefer a fast, comfortable cruiser. But if you're looking for performance, you should really consider the E92 more.

Hope this helps. You should test drive both.

More or less the same thoughts here.

no the poster meant BULLSHIT with the V81 ecu, as in no modding for the 335i, even though this guy was confused thinking this guy wants a Mercedes

anyways.. i would go with a modded 3, the 6 isn't that good looking, the only showstopping status you get with it is the fact everyone knows its expensive

so either show stop with the heart of an enthusiast (3), or with the weight of your wallet (6)
