My local Mercedes-Benz dealership is offering 4 year lease. I never knew it existed but it fits what I need. I asked one BMW dealership but, as expected, BMW doesn't offer 4 year lease.

I'm in the market for a small/mid size luxury SUV. Before I start calling up the dealerships does anyone know anyone offering 4 year lease program?

Why would BMW not offer 4 year leases? I usually do 3 years but if I remember correctly, I did have a 4 year least at one time.

EDIT: I just called my guy. They do offer 42 and 48 month leases. He said sometimes it doesn't make sense to go 48 months. It has to do with the residual of the vehicle after the lease term. Some vehicles make sense and others do not. Not sure where in NJ you are, call Jerry Cohen at Open Road in Edison 732 839 4521.

Is the Benz you are looking at due for a refresh? When they were going from C450 to C43 which was a name change only, the leftover C450 had CRAZY lease deals. 3 year had a 58% residual but 4 year was like 56% so you got a whole other year for like an extra $1500 in payments if memory serves.

The lease game is all about timing sometimes you catch something insane depending on where you are in life cycle and what they are doing for incentives.

Pretty much every single OEM offers leases all the way out to 72 months. The residuals get pretty awful by then so the payments are ridiculous, but they do offer them. They don't advertise them, but they do exist.

Disclaimer: A lease for that many years would be a terrible idea, though.

Keep in mind that with a longer term you may have to replace tires and/or brakes. Warranty can also be a concern depending on brand.
