Stupid Honda dealer
Today, I brought my 2007 Honda Civic for regular servicing today oil change, tire rotation, etc and I told the service people that my right front wheel area squeaks when I drive over 70kph. They probably didn't believe me because it's such a new car but I do believe did they take a look at it. When I got the car home, I realized they greased all on my front right dashboard including speakers, vents, front right passenger door bottons and door handle in heavy white grease!!! WTF?!? The entire friggin' dashboard not just the panels, the entire friggin' dashboard. That's like saying, my front hood emits strange noises, let's grease your entire front hood with grease! Now my dashboard looks WHITE!!! I tried washing it off with water but that didn't help.....
Does anyone here know of any products that will remove grease from the dashboard which won't damage the dashboard? |

Why don't you take it back and complain? That's what I'd do.

I didn't complain because the squeaking sound was gone when I drove it home and it was when I brought it home that I discovered the greasy interior. But I believe it wasn't from them greasing my entire dashboard, vents, and side door handle/buttons that eliminated the squeaks. I won't be returning to that dealership for sure. BTW, my first and original dealership rearended my current Civic and caused over 400 dollars in damage to the bumper. I don't know why they're such retards. Oh, I paid over 250 dollars for today's service and I get a greased up interior.

So far, it's 2 strikes out of 2 for me for Honda dealerships.
I am thinking about trying Armor All Orange Wipes. I don't know if it'll wipe off the nasty white grease. Has anyone here tried it? http://www.armorall.com/products/vie...ry_index=wipes |

Sorry, about your interior. I would definitely take the car back and show them. I would have noticed it before I left, but I always look my cars up and down before I pull out of the dealerships. Toyota scratched all my 5 rims when they changed the tires out for the tire recall and they had to replace all my rims, they are just idiots.

The reason why I didn't notice it before I left because the interior dashboard is grey. I already spent about a hour washing the dash so most the noticeable grease is already gone. I don't think the dealer will do anything about it. They'll probably say sorry but you can just wash the rest off. What pissed me off a lot is that they even greased my dashboard speakers.

As you can tell we have had nothing but good experiences with Civics. To the OP, I don't care if you paid 50K or 10K for your car, the dealer should take care of anything they mess up!

That's nuts. A little silicone spray in some of the crooks and crevices is ok, but it sounds like they took a big grease gun and squirted all over! I would definitely take it back and complain.

It's a great all around car and it's good on gas. Hey, it was awarded North American Car of the Year for 2006. I wish the ride quality was similar to the E90, but it's not a Bimmer.

Yeah, but it was not a bad as my first experience another Honda dealership where I purchased my current car. They ended up damaging my rear bumper when I took in my car with a safety recall - over 400 dollars of damages. I'm really fed up with the pathetic service at Honda dealerships. I am so unlucky with every service.

I think they took a grease gun or something, and squirted it on the dash and wipe it with a cloth which makes absolutely no sense. My dash is grey in colour, and now the colour is light grey with streaks all over. It makes no sense. I wouldn't want to take it back and say clean it. They'll probably f**k up something else on my car.
