VW Golf R power reduced due to new WLTP regs

http://www.evo.co.uk/volkswagen/golf...-new-wltp-regs

A small decrease. Hope however that this isn't a sign of things to come.

The loss of a manual is a bigger deal to me. I don't really want an R, but another daily driver going all auto is not good.

As mentioned in the article, target power output is actually up considerably for the next generation, so the reduction in power for the soon-to-exit Mk7.5 Golf R really is just a stop-gap.

I guess that’s the Euro power level because the US version only has 292hp. Would suck if the US version got reduced further.

Remember that our version doesn't have the ROW dual mode fuel injection, hence the power deficit.

Just make it lighter, then the power drop won't matter.
