Until I see pics of the dealer's pricing @160k, I'm calling on this price quote. On a side note, I saw called my local Nissan dealer and they said they were selling the GT-R for $30k UNDER MSRP!! |

Guess what... if you really want a GTR... you can buy one for as little as $7500 over MSRP. The dealers have open production slots, they are not all sold out... in fact, just the opposite. I found at least 15 available slots from calling around.
I'm not convinced as to the quality of the car or the long term reliability. I think it's a very maintenance intensive platform. I think Nissan is about to experience a dose of consumer reality. I predict there are going to be GTR's collecting dust in July on the floor of dealerships. I truly believe that state lawmakers should look into the practice of "Added Value Markup". I know you can argue free market economy, but when you go to a bank to finance a car (and insure it) and hit them with the higher than sticker prices. There has to be something not "Kosher" with that. Not to mention if you wreck the car, you're really screwed. |

A dealer in SC in one breath just quoted me $20K over sticker and then told me (like an idiot) in six months a different version is coming out with more horsepower. Why would I pay $90K for a car this is replaced with something better !!! What a schmuck...

Please .... new NSX or ZR1 for less. Sorry, no Nissan is worth that. If you are going to charge that much, at least put it under the Infinity label.

I'm sorry but Nissan doesn't have the Rep (in the USA) to back up this car. I'm suspicious of the need to keep it constantly tuned and adjusted. The dealers got screwed getting certified, so they want to screw the consumers. Lastly, there is a more powerful version coming out in six months, why buy a less powerful launch edition?

lol, nissan has a great rep. Anybody buying this car is going to know cars pretty well, which is probably why they put it under Nissan and not Infiniti.
Your average know nothing is still going to buy an under performing Porsche over a GTR because like some people :: cough ianbiz cough:: are nothing but brand whores.

The "more powerful" verson coming out is a different spec car, the one out now is not just a launch version.
