I just started collecting Michael Cheval purchase five painting of his and was curious if anyone else collect another artiest and do they have any tips or suggestion

I collect Z4 coupes. Does that make me an art collector? I also just got back from an 'art appreciation' long weekend in the Appalachians. One of my pieces needs new rear tires.
